COVER REVEAL & BLOG TOUR: War of Mist by Helen Scheuerer

Hello, friends! As y’all know, when I’m not championing books by Asian authors, I like to hunt for underrated literary gems — a lot of which are found in the indie or self-published side of this virtual town. Aside from Secondhand Origin Stories by Lee Blauersouth (I’m giving away a couple of copies here!), I absolutely adore The Oremere Chronicles by Helen Scheuerer.

With morally gray characters your heart will loyally root for, an immersive plot that’ll always keep you on your toes, and a terrifying fantasy realm where magic is forbidden, this trilogy truly has it all! I easily fell in love with Heart of Mist, the first book in this YA fantasy series, and I was left even hungrier for more after finishing its sequel, Reign of Mist. With that said, I am incredibly happy to reveal the third and final book to all of you!

If I recall correctly, the title of the third book was already announced several weeks back. It’s called War of Mist, and given where things left off in the second book, I think the title is very telling of what’s to come next (*clasps hands together in a silent prayer of protection for all of my favorite characters*).

On the other hand, War of Mist‘s cover and official synopsis have both been kept under wraps for what feels like the longest time. But thankfully, that all changes today!!! So read on, get ready to drool rivers, and most importantly, stick around until the very end of this post for an even more exciting announcement!

War of Mist by Helen Scheuerer

War is here.

Toxic mist drives all life to the brink of destruction and the conqueror queen, Ines, has her talons in the kings of the realm.

Bleak, having discovered her true heritage must now scour the lands for the one thing that might save them all.

But the search is a treacherous one, one that will push her to the very limits of endurance.

Amidst secrets, lies, and the intricacies of battle, Bleak and her companions learn just how far they’ll go for the ones they love. But will it be enough?

As deadly forces grapple for power across the continents; families, friends, and allies unite to take one final stand.

Explosive revelations, heart-wrenching betrayals, and breathtaking magic soar in the epic conclusion to Helen Scheuerer’s bestselling trilogy, The Oremere Chronicles.

EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK!

I picked out this particular quote for this blog post because I felt that it’s a perfect foretelling of what readers can expect in War of Mist. At least I think it does (like all of you, I’m also eagerly anticipating its release! I have no idea what the final book will be like!).

One thing’s for sure though: I’m having a lot of mixed feelings(!!). On one hand, I am tremendously excited to find out how Helen has decided to wrap up this high fantasy adventure. But on the other hand, I don’t think I’m quite ready to say goodbye to the story and to the amazing cast of diverse characters! Plus, I am high-key worried about Fiore’s fate (not a spoiler, I’m just hoping my baby comes out of this totally unharmed and unscathed!).

ANYWAY. IF, LIKE ME, YOU CAN HARDLY WAIT FOR WAR OF MIST‘S RELEASE, THEN YOU’RE IN LUCK!

Much like the first two books of The Oremere Chronicles, I am organizing a huge blog tour for War of Mist. Yep, you read that right! Helen and I are collaborating once again (but hopefully not for the last time) and bringing her books to passionate readers who enjoy atmospheric storytelling and dynamic characters.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

After writing literary fiction for a number of years, Helen was inspired to return to her childhood love of fantasy thanks to novels like Throne of Glass, The Queen’s Poisoner, and The Queen of the Tearling.

Helen is also the Founding Editor of Writer’s Edit, an online learning platform for emerging writers. In its first year, Writer’s Edit reached thousands of new authors, and soon became its own small press, with Helen overseeing the production and publication of three creative writing anthologies. It’s now one of the largest writing websites in the world.

Helen now lives by the mountains of New Zealand and writes full time. She has many more books planned for the future.

ABOUT THE BLOG TOUR

This is the third #MistPH blog tour(!!!). It will feature the epic conclusion of The Oremere Chronicles, namely War of Mist, and will run from July 15th to July 20th. Because I am based in the Philippines, it will follow my country’s timezone (UTC+08:00).

This is a promotional, international blog tour that accommodates book bloggers all over the globe. You do not have to be a previous #MistPH tour host to join this tour, and relatedly, digital copies of the previous books (Heart of Mist and Reign of Mist) will be provided if needed. (It should be noted, however, that the slots for this blog tour are limited, and filling out the form does not guarantee anyone a slot.)

Sign-ups will close after a week or so, and selected participants will be contacted via email. All official tour hosts will receive review copies of War of Mist and will be expected to post a book review for the blog tour. Although this is a review-required tour, you are more than welcome to add other creative or promotional content of your preference.

For other concerns or inquiries, you are more than welcome to leave a comment! No questions or concerns? Then sign up now.
