Hello from this side of the world! Throughout this whole week, a bunch of incredible book bloggers are going to share their love for the latest release from Talem Press, Bronwyn Eley’s Relic, which is her amazingly written YA fantasy debut. I am very ecstatic to feature this lovely book on my blog, and I hope all of you are equally excited!
Shealea, didn’t you just release a sign-up form for another blog tour a few days ago? Why yes. Yes, I did. And you can still sign up to read and review The Never Tilting World by Rin Chupeco. But okay, hear me out!
If you’ve known me or been following me for quite a while, then you may know that, despite the abundance of impulsive passion projects that I tend to do
like all the time, I am also quite the planner. My lineup of blog tours had been — more or less — set in stone since the start of this year (although some blog tours, like the one for Fonda Lee’s Jade War, just somehow magically fell into my lap and I couldn’t be more grateful to the generous publishers for entrusting me with the responsibility of promoting their books).
Dear friends, this is not a drill. Definitely not a drill.
Some of you might recall that a few months ago, I did the official cover reveal for Rin Chupeco’s next novel, The Never Tilting World. In that post, I shared an impeccably written excerpt that will have you clutching your pearls. But I digress.
With an abundance of pride and happy tears, I am honored to announce that I am spearheading an international blog tour for this wonderfully diverse gem of a book! The goddesses have been really kind to me and have gently dropped this huge honor onto my lap. Of course, it helps that Rin Chupeco is incredibly generous and kind as well.
Good morning, friends! I’m a little behind on the blogging plans that I set out to do for the month of August, which is a teeny bit disappointing because my birth month is quite special to me. Things have been overwhelmingly hectic, especially during the recent week — I was in Selangor, Malaysia from the 20th to the 25th!
I just got back and I’m still quite tired (if I’m being honest), but of course, I would not miss the official launch of this week’s blog tour, which is dedicated to Eclipse the Skies by Maura Milan!
Friends, it fills me with great, great joy to announce that I have teamed up with Talem Press (massive thanks to the publisher for working with me!) and my humble little business, Caffeine Book Tours, is spearheading the international blog tour for their most highly anticipated release, Relic by Bronwyn Eley!
Friends, let’s take a short break from all the happenings in Augvocacy 2019 and let’s turn the spotlight towards on a stunning and brilliantly evocative Mahabharata-inspired space opera novel that successfully broke my heart. Is my description too specific?
Well, if you must know, I am referring to no other than the heart-wrenching sequel to Sangu Mandanna’s A Spark of White Fire, which is entitled A House of Rage and Sorrow.
It’s bewildering how I was caught off-guard when this book shattered my soul into bleeding pieces when the word sorrow is literally in the title. Nonetheless, I am extremely excited to feature A House of Rage and Sorrow (accompanied by loving shouts and a million exclamation points!!!!!!), as well as to organize a huge international blog tour for it.
We’re down to the last part of this mini-series! Just to recap, as part of the Jade War blog tour, I interviewed Fonda Lee, the award-winning author of Jade City and the more recently released Jade War, through a Skype video call. Our hour-long interview resulted in a 21-page transcript, which sparked the idea for this daily mini-series!
Unlike the previous parts of this mini-series, which consisted of randomly selected questions from the blog tour hosts, Part 5 is a more formal interview with questions prepared by yours truly. Here, we will learn more about the writing process behind Jade War — with a couple of silly questions thrown in!
