Spotlight: Helen Scheuerer on her finishing her debut trilogy, The Oremere Chronicles

Hello, Helen! Welcome aboard the third (and final!) blog tour for The Oremere Chronicles! Thank you very much for entrusting me once again with the huge honor and privilege of spearheading this tour — it truly means the whole world to me. And of course, I cannot thank you enough as well for taking the time to (virtually) sit down with us and to talk about the final installment of your debut fantasy series, wherein the third book is entitled War of Mist.

To kick off this interview, I thought it might be fun and interesting to prepare a couple of light, silly questions for you to answer.

What food and/or beverage would you pair off with each book of The Oremere Chronicles, and why do you think these would complement or go well with the books? (To clarify, you’re assigning particular food/beverage to Heart of Mist, Reign of Mist, and War of Mist.)

Heart of Mist: Anything you can cook over a campfire OR a lot of bread and cheese (which is what they mainly eat in the book when they’re on the road).

5 reasons to pick up A Shifting of Stars by Kathy Kimbray (ft. giveaway)

A Shifting of Stars by Kathy Kimbray is a title that may ring a few bells. Throughout this week, a bunch of incredible, hard-working bloggers had talked and promoted this stunning YA fantasy debut novel on their platforms. They’ve all done such an exceptional job, and as the organizer of Caffeine Book Tours, I could not be more grateful to have all of them on board.

With all that said, I figured that the best way to end the #ShiftingStarsTour is to highlight aspects of A Shifting of Stars that these twenty-nine (29) bloggers greatly loved!

Spotlight: Kathy Kimbray on her YA fantasy debut, A Shifting of Stars (ft. giveaway!)

Hello, Kathy! I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to stop by and to (virtually) sit down with us here in Shut up, Shealea. I am very excited to have this opportunity to talk about your debut novel, A Shifting of Stars, and I’m sure plenty of readers are looking forward to learning more about the book as well.

To kick off this interview, I thought it’d be fun to prepare a couple of silly questions for you to answer.

If I wanted to snack on something or have a drink in my hand while I read A Shifting of Stars, what food and/or beverage should I pair it off with? And why do you think these would complement or go well with the book?

Wow, what a fun question! Well, since Meadow lives in a kingdom that hasn’t tasted good quality meat, fresh produce or dairy products in a while, I would suggest a nice charcuterie board in her honor!

FOLLOW ALONG: A Shifting of Stars blog tour (ft. schedule & giveaways!)

Good morning from my side of the world! Just when you thought Caffeine Book Tours has run out of fun surprises — well, we’re only getting started. In fact, the Spin the Dawn tour is only the first of five (5!!!) international blog tours that will come your way for the month of July. Isn’t that exciting for you and extremely exhausting for me? Isn’t that really exciting?

All “I’m dead and tired” jokes aside, I am very happy to introduce another spectacularly written YA fantasy novel to all of you! A Shifting of Stars by Kathy Kimbray is truly one of the most underrated 2019 debut novels I’ve ever encountered. Admittedly, I only learned about this book when Kathy reached out to me for a collaboration — and I am infinitely glad and grateful that she did because y’all are in for a wonderful, wonderful treat!

Spotlight: Elizabeth Lim on her Chinese-inspired fantasy, Spin the Dawn (ft. giveaways!)

Hello, Elizabeth! Thank you very much for the opportunity to (virtually) sit down with you and to talk a little bit about your upcoming Chinese-inspired fantasy, Spin the Dawn. It’s such a huge honor to have you on my blog!

I’d like to kick this interview off with a couple of silly questions. Consider it a warm-up of some sort.

A few months ago, Eugene Lee Yang from the Try Guys (a group of four male YouTubers) tweeted that one way to start a fight is by asking Asians which Asian culture has the best soup. Inspired by that tweet, here’s my question: in your opinion, what is the best Asian soup?

Ahh I could literally think about this all day. Like, soup with noodles, dessert soups, herbal soups, broths…? I’m going to cheat by giving a couple answers. My favorite dessert soup, hands down, is red bean soup (Chinese). My favorite noodle soups would be beef pho (Vietnamese) and curry laksa (Malaysian). And my favorite soup of all time is a fish broth with vegetables my Cantonese grandma makes. It has no name but it’s delectable.

Follow along: Spin the Dawn blog tour (ft. schedule & giveaway)

Good morning from my side of the world! Way back in March, I dropped the ball and announced an international blog tour for Elizabeth Lim’s upcoming spellbinding Chinese-inspired fantasy, Spin the Dawn, which is set to be released some time next week. The number of sign-ups for this tour really exceeded my expectations, and selecting just a handful of enthusiastic, passionate voices among hundreds(!!!) was easily one of the most difficult things I’ve had to do as a book blogger.

Truly, a lot of thought, love, and effort were poured into the preparation for this blog tour — and I cannot be happier to officially kick things off!

SIGN UP: Blog tour for Eclipse the Skies by Maura Milan

I really hope y’all are not sick of Caffeine Book Tours yet because ya fave Southeast Asian girl is back at it with another international blog tour that’s set to run within the month of August. This marks my 8th blog tour for the year — and what do you know, August is coincidentally the 8th month! Ahhh!

Allow me to get really sappy really quick: thank you for all the enormous, generous amounts of love and support so far! My little brainchild, Caffeine Book Tours, is already six months old and I can hardly believe it! I’ve been blessed with so many opportunities that allow me to get great, wonderfully diverse books into the hands of the right readers who might not have as much access or resources as more privileged individuals. This means so much to me on a personal level, and I cannot adequately describe how grateful I am.
