Friends, it’s been ages — five months, in fact — since I last wrote a wrap-up post of any sort. And knowing that has made me feel a little bit too sad for the past few days.

One of my major goals for this year was to share more about myself and my life outside books — and wrap-up posts, I believe, are an excellent method to let all of you know what I’ve been up to both online and offline. Ironically, I’ve been so overwhelmed and busy that I haven’t been able to share much at all! And while I am still very much active on Twitter, sharing personal stuff in 280-character increments isn’t all that satisfactory or fulfilling.

In an ideal world where I have a lot more free time on my hands and an abundant amount of motivation to write, I would have written separate monthly synopsis posts for February and March, despite the fact that it’s nearly April already. But alas, this is not an ideal world, I’m feeling as lazy and exhausted as ever, and I’m typing this post while binge-watching another series on Netflix (Girlboss, in case any of y’all are curious about the train wrecks I like to hate-watch).

My blogging has been really inconsistent and sporadic for the past couple of months, and given that this always happens halfway through the semester, I wish I could say that I totally expected this. But ya girl is still really naïve and optimistic (you know, despite everything).

JANUARY SYNOPSIS: a month of projects, messy planning, & Asian books

Hello there, friends! In the blink of an eye, January is over and we are already diving into the second month of the year (or am I the only one who feels like the passage of time has been extraordinarily quick?).

Either way, a new month means new memories, new opportunities, and ultimately, a new chance to halfheartedly convince ourselves that this is the month we will finally conquer our TBR piles and exterminate the enormous shameful monster that is our review backlog*.
